Ms. Charara is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the State of California. Nicole M. Charara has been providing counseling to children, families, and adults for over 14 years. Her work began in Miami, Florida where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Florida International University. She then moved on to receive a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
Ms. Charara has extensive clinical experience in working with a variety of disorders and treatment needs. Her specialties include anxiety disorders, depressive symptoms, marital issues, and positive parenting techniques. Ms. Charara is trained in several evidence based practices, such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Positive Parenting Program, and The Incredible Years. Ms. Charara has worked with multi-cultural populations in the United States in both California and Florida and is bilingual (English/Spanish), thereby allowing her to provide services to Spanish speaking clients, as well.
Ms. Charara has been involved in research based work, community mental health, and also in the private sector. Her skills and experience in social work, abuse prevention, and therapeutic interventions have enhanced her ability to help those with a variety of treatment needs.
Ms. Charara is providing individual, family, and couples counseling to children and adults. Ms. Charara seeks to assist clients in improving their quality of life by exploring their current struggles and helping them in solving and overcoming them.
